The summer of 2017 a new dating app called Mutual brought us together. I (Kristi) was
living in Arizona, and German was in New York City. After the first time I talked to him
on the phone, I knew I would marry him. German took more time in coming to the
same conclusion. I flew out to meet him in person later that summer and we got
engaged near Central Park.
We were married November 2017 in Salt Lake City and I
went off to the big city for our new adventure.
We settled into our first apartments in
the city and had fun exploring all the unique things NYC has to offer. It was easy to
take weekend trips by bus or train so we went to Washington D.C and Philadelphia.
A year and a half later, I wanted to go back to school so we decided to move to Idaho to
go to the school I wanted and be closer to my family.
Here in Idaho we bought our first house and have a crazy Husky puppy named
Tadashi, a kitty named O'Malley, and Kiwi, our iguana. We have worked to explore
Idaho and find all its hidden treasures. German now enjoys fishing and four-
wheeling- new things for a city boy.
Both of us come from large families and we knew we wanted children right away after
we got married. Unfortunately, my body did not cooperate. In the first two years I had
four miscarriages. Then in May of 2020 I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer. As a
result of the cancer, I had a complete hysterectomy at the age of 30. We are excited to
explore various options to grow our family through adoption or surrogacy.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know us!
With love,
Kristi and German Garcia
